Mane Ho Visaun Foun is a small, Timorese NGO founded and run by the commitment of six local staff. We are a grass-roots organisation that implements programs within remote rural communities to promote gender equality and prevent violence against women and children.
We aim to re-write the dominant narrative of masculinity that accepts and normalizes violence against women. By educating boys and men about the importance of gender equity, MHVF creates positive role models within local communities. We encourage all Timorese men to actively engage in preventing violence against women and children and ensure they enjoy full access of their human rights.
Our organisation has three focus areas, all with the overarching objective of eradicating violence against women and children.
MHVF collaborate with individuals, for-profit and not-for-profit organisations, governments and international bodies committed to the fight against gender inequity.
We value the contribution of corporations and organisations who share our vision of a world free from gendered violence.
Our mission is to end violence against women and children and create a society where gender equity is the norm, not the exception.
