Often a problem can occur in the family because men refuse to co-operate with women to do domestic work. In order to respond to this issue, MHVF organized a men’s group to increase awareness of men’s responsibilities in the home and challenge gender roles. MHVF organized a demonstration with men in the community, asking them to cook for the public. This demonstrates that men can and should assist with domestic roles in their families and asks them to reflect upon socially constructioned norms.
