The Oath 

With consciousness, I take this oath in the presence of local leaders, police, representatives of religion, representatives of women and representatives of MHVF, my family and other men.

 

I promise myself and others to use the SARR Principle (safety, accountabilty, responsibility, repsect) to give safety to myself and other people, and be accountable for my behavior. I promise to take responsibility for my behavior and follow the role of a man in my household and community. I will give respect and value to human dignity.        

   

In this day, at this place, I promise to now start the future.  I have a responsibility as a man to strive, change and also influence other men to stop violence against other people, especially women and children .

 

The white ribbon I receive represents my strive to live free from violence, in safety, accountability,responsibility and respect and this bracelet I receive will become a testimony to all my decisions I have taken and will follow what I  have promised.
